Material Specifications

DX51D is a continuously hot-dip galvanized steel coil based on low carbon steel substrate. The zinc coating is applied to both sides, with coating mass ranging from 100 to 275 g/m². Standard thickness is 0.13 mm to 3.0 mm, and width up to 1500 mm. The steel meets EN 10346 standards for hot-dip zinc coated steel strip.

Mechanical Properties

Yield strength: 140-220 MPa for thicknesses up to 0.7 mm, 120-200 MPa for thicknesses over 0.7 mm. Tensile strength: 270-500 MPa. Elongation: Minimum 22% for thicknesses up to 0.7 mm, 24% for thicknesses over 0.7 mm. The material supports cold forming and welding.

Applications

Used in automotive panels, construction elements, HVAC systems, and household appliances. Suitable for parts requiring corrosion protection and formability.

Coating and Surface Treatment

Zinc coating provides barrier protection against corrosion. Surface finishes include minimized spangle or regular spangle. Passivation and oiling options are available for additional handling stability.
