Q235 hot-dip galvanized steel coil consists of Q235 carbon steel substrate coated with a layer of zinc via the hot-dip galvanizing process. This product provides a protective barrier against environmental elements.

Base Material

Q235 steel grade, with yield strength of 235 MPa and tensile strength ranging from 370-500 MPa. Chemical composition includes carbon ≤0.22%, manganese ≤1.40%, phosphorus ≤0.045%, and sulfur ≤0.045%.

Coating Details

Hot-dip zinc coating with mass per unit area from Z90 to Z275 (90-275 g/m²). Coating thickness varies from 6 to 20 microns per side, applied by immersing the steel in molten zinc at approximately 450°C.

Thickness: 0.13 mm to 4.0 mm. Width: 600 mm to 1500 mm. Inner diameter of coil: 508 mm or 610 mm. Coil weight: up to 25 tons. Surface treatment options include passivated, oiled, or skin-passed.

Mechanical Properties

Elongation: ≥20% for thicknesses ≤3 mm. Hardness: ≤170 HB. The zinc coating adheres through metallurgical bonding, ensuring durability during forming and fabrication.

Used in construction for roofing and cladding, automotive parts, electrical appliances, and HVAC systems. Suitable for environments requiring corrosion protection, such as outdoor structures and piping.
