Because 304 stainless steel pipe has good corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, it is widely used in various decorative purposes, such as stainless steel pipe stair handrails, security windows, guardrails, villa gates, etc. The length of the 304 stainless steel decorative pipe is 6 meters when it leaves the factory. Those stainless steel decorative pipe products with different shapes and suitable lengths are processed later. So what should be paid attention to in the processing of stainless steel decorative pipes?
When the 304 stainless steel decorative tube leaves the factory, there are generally three cross-sectional shapes: round tube, square tube, and rectangular tube, all of which are bright surfaces.
Thickness is generally required for deep processing of 304 stainless steel pipes: the stainless steel pipe drawing machine adopts two sets of front and rear impellers to clamp the stainless steel decorative pipe and push it forward for surface drawing. Too thin stainless steel pipe is easy to burn out when the thousand impeller is polished, because the surface elasticity is too large, so the thickness of 304 stainless steel pipe is required for surface treatment.
Similarly, 304 stainless steel decorative pipes are prone to surface cracking or wrinkling during bending.
Of course, the processing of stainless steel pipe bends is also related to the experience of the pipe bender. For the consideration of material cost, when the customer needs to process, the material selected is of course the thinner the better. However, the processing effect of too thin stainless steel decorative pipe will not meet the customer's requirements.
When processing stainless steel pipes, pay attention to the choice of tools. There are also high demands on the tool materials used. The cutting force of the stainless steel pipe is large and the cutting temperature is very high. The carbide tool with high strength and good thermal conductivity should be selected as far as possible. Also, pay attention to the roughness values of the front and rear surfaces of the tool, which should not be too large to avoid chips sticking to the tool.
304 stainless steel decorative pipe processing and blanking methods are generally divided into three types: shearing, sawing and plasma cutting. During the shearing process, the material should be isolated from the bracket, and a rubber pad should be laid inside the hopper to avoid scratching the stainless steel. When sawing, the residual oil on the tool should be cleaned up in time after sawing. The plasma cutting method is faster, but it should be noted that the site should be cleaned up in time after cutting.
When welding 304 stainless steel pipes, the welding must be carried out in the designated welding area. Before welding, carefully remove the stains, rust and dust on the parts. Try to use argon arc welding to weld stainless steel pipes.
In short, when processing stainless steel, be careful, pay attention to the cleaning of stains and residues, and carefully protect the stainless steel surface from scratches. At the same time, the safety of construction workers is also very important, and workers should operate in accordance with standard specifications.
