There are four common surface processing techniques of 304 stainless steel square crimped wire mesh, which are pattern painting, functional painting, lamination, and plating. Each of these four has its own characteristics. The following will introduce them one by one.
1. Pattern paint 304 stainless steel square crimped wire mesh
With the expansion of the use of stainless steel, there are fingerprint pollution and corrosion problems caused by food and medicine in the use of household appliances and interior decoration materials. The countermeasure was to paint the stainless steel surface, but the original coloring paint damaged the metallic luster pattern of the stainless steel surface.
For this reason, in recent years, transparent painted stainless steel with excellent pattern properties, which can prevent fingerprint pollution and corrosion, has been developed, which is mainly used for cold storage and electronic instrument panels. The original pre-coated clear-painted stainless steel strip is not ideal in terms of weather resistance and corrosion resistance. With the advancement of pre-painting treatment technology, this problem has been solved, and the clear-painted stainless steel has been commercialized.
2. Functional paint 304 stainless steel square crimped wire mesh
Stainless steel is prone to bonding and sliding scratch defects during stamping. Therefore, in applications where patterning is important, processing with a surface protective film is often required. However, this protective film needs to be peeled off by hand after stamping; under strict processing conditions, film fragments are unlikely to cause indentations on both sides of the stamped part. In addition, it is also important how to dispose of the waste film so as not to increase the environmental load.
To this end, stainless steel, which can be painted and lubricated instead of protective film, has been developed, and it has been widely used in various fields such as home appliances, appliances, and automobile mufflers. The lubricating paint is blended with a wax component on the paint film, so it has good lubricity. Compared with the non-scale stamping oil coating material, it has excellent deep processing properties, and can also omit lubricating oil. This paint film is divided into two types: soluble type and non-paint stripping type, which are degreased and depainted with strong alkali after processing.
3. Laminated 304 stainless steel square crimped wire mesh
This laminated stainless steel is made by first applying a printing pattern on the surface of the stainless steel, and then gluing the sheets of polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene terephthalate and polypropylene on it with an adhesive. This type of product with a patterned surface with no paint residue is used for wall materials such as combination grooves.
4. Coating 304 stainless steel square crimped wire mesh
Sometimes, stainless steel strips can experience localized corrosion in corrosive environments. To make up for this deficiency, plated stainless steels that can be given different patterns or functions have been developed. The types of coatings include molten aluminum, hot galvanized, copper electroplating and nickel electroplating. In salt-corrosion environments, aluminized stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance, and is suitable for roofing materials because of its beautiful appearance and excellent heat reflectivity, in addition to being used as a material for exhaust systems of automobiles, especially mufflers.
The excellent corrosion resistance of aluminized stainless steel is due to the anti-cathode corrosion effect of aluminum plating; at the same time, an alloy layer with anti-corrosion effect is formed on the interface between the coating and the steel plate.
