Application of stainless steel pipes in the field of electric heating

Stainless steel pipes are widely used in the field of electric heating pipes, mainly in the production of electric water heaters, which mainly include heating tank plates, water volume adjustment faucets, power regulators, pressure sensors, water inlet pipes and water outlet pipe components.

The heating tank plate is a key component of the instant electric water heater. The components of the heating tank include tank rights, sealing rings, covers and electric heating elements. The electric heating element is located in the groove of the groove plate, which is usually called the inner tank of the instant water heater.

An instant water heater that uses a stainless steel heating tube as the heating element. Cold water enters the inner tank and flows directly through the surface of the stainless steel electric heating tube to be heated. Stainless steel electric heating tube is the most widely used heating method in the current instant electric water heater industry.

The advantage of stainless steel heating pipes is that they have very good heat resistance and can withstand dry burning. The production and processing technology of the pipes is relatively mature and the cost is relatively low.

Nowadays, various instant electric water heater manufacturers use many types and complex stainless steel heating tubes, and the price difference between stainless steel tubes of different qualities is obvious. And the difference in quality and performance of the final product between electric heating tubes made of the same stainless steel material is also very obvious.

The quality of stainless steel pipes generally depends on the nickel content in the stainless steel. Nickel is an excellent corrosion-resistant alloy element. When combined with chromium in stainless steel, the corrosion resistance and process capabilities of the stainless steel material can be better optimized. However, if low-carbon nickel stainless steel wants to obtain a pure austenitic structure, its nickel content needs to be as high as 24%, and only when it contains 27% nickel can the corrosion resistance of stainless steel in certain media change significantly.

Therefore, from a material perspective, 800, 840, and 316L are relatively good corrosion-resistant and high-temperature-resistant stainless steel electric heating tube materials. The nickel content of 800 stainless steel pipes reaches 30%, and the nickel content of 840 stainless steel pipes reaches 20%. The nickel content in inferior 304 stainless steel pipes is only 8%. Therefore, products using high-temperature-resistant and corrosion-resistant stainless steel heating tubes with relatively high nickel content also have very good advantages.
