Characteristics of Precision Stainless Steel Strips

Generally, stainless steel and heat-resistant cold-rolled stainless steel strips with a thickness of 0.01 to 1.5 mm and a strength of 600 to 2100 MPa are defined as precision stainless steel strips. This overlaps in size with cold-rolled strip (slitting) with a thickness in the range of 0.3~1.5mm, but only specially rolled products and slitting products can meet the special requirements of precision strip.

 

The characteristics of precision stainless steel belt:

 

Precision stainless steel strip belongs to the field of stainless steel specialization. Considering the need for many parameters to measure, and the current specific situation of stainless steel precision strip production in my country, the characteristics of precision strip steel are defined as follows:

 

1) The width of the precision stainless steel belt is below 600mm;

2) The thickness accuracy of precision stainless steel strip is ±0.001mm, and the width accuracy is ±0.1mm (Japan Toyo standard). Domestic thickness accuracy is mostly ±0.005mm;

3) The surface quality of precision stainless steel strip can meet the needs of different users, such as 2B surface with roughness Ra≤0.16mm, BA surface with roughness Ra≤0.05mm or other special surfaces;

4) The mechanical properties of the precision stainless steel belt are very high, and the low or high yield stress or strength can be specified according to the different needs of users;

5) The grain size of the precision stainless steel strip is uniform, and the grain size of the fully annealed state is generally controlled at 7.0~9.0. For hard products, its strength properties are very uniform, and the hardness fluctuates between ±5~10HV;

6) In addition, the precision stainless steel belt has higher requirements in terms of horizontal straightness and edge quality.
