Environmental factors affect the service life of cold-rolled stainless steel strip

Cold-rolled stainless steel strip has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and high strength, but if it is used in a relatively strict environment for a long time, its service life will inevitably be affected.

1. Use in the case of ultra-high temperature exceeding 400 ℃

The strength of cold-rolled stainless steel strip gradually decreases as the temperature rises, but whether it will affect its service life when it exceeds 400 °C still needs to ask the manufacturer, because the manufacturing process is different, there are still differences, generally speaking, this The temperature is still acceptable, but it is difficult to say if the temperature is higher.

2. Use in corrosive environment

Exposure of cold-rolled stainless steel strip to corrosive materials can have adverse consequences. First of all, the parts will become thinner and thinner, resulting in accelerated wear. When the cold-rolled stainless steel strip continues to work in an acidic or alkaline environment, the parts will appear stress corrosion and crystal corrosion.

When using cold-rolled stainless steel belts in corrosive environments, great attention must be paid to the selection of mesh belt parts materials. Whether the mesh belt made of martensitic stainless steel series will rust depends on the specific working environment. It is very useful to master the anti-corrosion technology to properly use the mesh belt in corrosive environment.

3. Use in grinding environment

The use of mesh belts in a grinding environment will cause particularly serious wear. In order to ensure the service life of cold-rolled stainless steel belts, reduce the speed as much as possible, choose larger specifications, or use grease lubricants.
