Factors Affecting the Brightness of Stainless Steel Tubes

Consumers generally judge the most intuitive judgment of stainless steel pipe decoration is its surface brightness. After the stainless steel welded pipe is formed, the surface is smooth and bright, and it has the primary color of the metal. On the basis of smooth surface, the stainless steel decorative tube is polished with polishing equipment (180 ~ 600 # polishing wheel) to obtain a ground surface (round sand/straight wire), also known as frosted surface, bright surface and high-bright surface effect and mirror surface.


The factors that affect the brightness of stainless steel are as follows:


1. Surface defects of raw materials. Such as scratches, pits, scratches, trachoma, pickling, etc. The hardness of the raw material is too low, and it is not easy to polish when polishing, and the surface is prone to orange peel phenomenon during deep drawing, thus affecting the BQ performance. BQ properties with high hardness are relatively good.


2. The product after deep drawing. Small black spots will also appear on the deformed surface, which affects the BQ performance.


3. The lotion contains too much oil. If the oil in the emulsion cannot be removed in time after carbonization at high temperature, it will accumulate on the surface of the 304 stainless steel pipe, and indentations will be formed after rolling.


The mirror effect of the stainless steel tube can be said to be the representative of high brightness, and the true mirror can only be obtained after the stainless steel is ground and polished. The surface treatment industry of stainless steel decorative pipes is generally divided into two types: drawing and bright surface, which are also suitable for the product needs of most customers. Some high-end customers choose mirror stainless steel pipes to make more beautiful products, of course, the cost will also increase. Therefore, the bright surface effect of stainless steel pipe is also particularly important.
