How is the ST52 Seamless Steel Pipe DN850 produced?

When it comes to stainless steel industrial pipes, everyone should be very familiar with them. Stainless steel industrial pipes are currently widely used in various aspects of life, not only in households but also in construction projects. Nowadays, the pipe manufacturing process is advancing, and there have been many breakthroughs in the performance of stainless steel pipes. The shadow of stainless steel pipes can be seen in every aspect of life. But for how stainless steel pipes are produced, I believe that besides the manufacturers of stainless steel pipes, other users may not know much. In fact, the production of ST52 Seamless Steel Pipe DN850 is also a very complex process. Please refer to the introduction below for specific steps!

The first thing to choose is the raw material, which is stainless steel strip. What materials determine the quality of stainless steel pipes? Common stainless steel pipe materials on the market include 201 stainless steel, 304 stainless steel, 304L stainless steel, 316 stainless steel, 316L stainless steel, etc.

The selection of raw materials can be based on the environment used: 201 stainless steel can be selected indoors; Outdoor options include 304 stainless steel and 304L stainless steel; Choose 316 stainless steel and 316L stainless steel with stronger corrosion resistance for harsh usage environments such as seaside and industrial environments.

After selecting the steel strip material, the production of stainless steel pipes begins. The production process is as follows:

Round tube blank - heating - piercing - three roll oblique rolling, continuous rolling or extrusion - tube detachment - sizing (or reducing) - cooling - embryo tube - straightening - water pressure test (or flaw detection) - marking.

The rolling method of cold drawing (rolling) for ST52 Seamless Steel Pipe DN850 is more complex than hot rolling. The first three steps of the production process for cold rolled steel pipes are basically the same, but there are differences starting from the fourth step.

The round tube blank is subjected to heading annealing after being hollowed out. Next, use a specific acidic liquid to pickle the stainless steel pipe. After pickling, oil is applied, followed by multiple passes of cold drawing (cold rolling) and then billet the tube, followed by specialized heat treatment.

After being straightened, the ST52 Seamless Steel Pipe DN850 is transported by a conveyor belt to a metal flaw detector for internal inspection. The purpose of this step is to detect whether there are cracks, bubbles, and other defects inside the stainless steel pipe. Then it is manually selected, and after the quality meets the standards, the stainless steel pipes can be sprayed with production numbers, batch numbers, specifications, etc.

The above is an explanation of the steps in the production process of stainless steel pipes. We are a professional enterprise that produces stainless steel pipes. If you need anything, please feel free to contact us!
