How thin can the colored stainless steel plate be?

With the vigorous promotion of colored stainless steel decorative plates, they are now widely used across the country. I recently received a call asking: "How thin can a colored stainless steel decorative plate be?" In fact, this involves a lot. The thinner the plate, the more difficult it is to test the manufacturer's technology, because thin plates are prone to horseshoe marks, water marks, trachoma, etc. problems in all aspects. Let’s explain it in detail below.

Everyone should know that ordinary SUS304 stainless steel plates are all plates with a minimum thickness of 0.28, which is usually the theoretical value, 0.3MM. 201 rolling can also achieve this thickness, but it must not be applied to colored stainless steel plates. But 201 genuine materials can do it, because the surface of genuine materials can be processed with high requirements such as fine grinding.

The current precision grinding of 0.3mm 8K can also meet this requirement, which means that as long as the color plated surface is finely ground, there is no problem at all. Now titanium stainless steel plates are available, as are black titanium and other plates. But now red bronze and so on are generally made of embossed plates, and the embossed plates must be above 0.5mm to be embossed. Therefore, to use embossing to plate various colors, it must be above 0.5.

Therefore, stainless steel plates below 0.3mm will not be processed into colored stainless steel plates, and thin stainless steel plates are the most prone to problems. Please remember that problems such as horseshoe marks, water marks, and trachoma are difficult to solve.
