Installation precautions of Stainless Steel Flexible Metal Hose Pipe

The installation of Stainless Steel Flexible Metal Hose Pipe should not only comply with the general process requirements for pipeline installation and the relevant regulations on the installation requirements for pipelines conveying corrosive media such as acid and alkali, but also according to the characteristics of precision stainless steel. During the installation process, pay attention to the following points.

 

(1) Strictly check whether there is any debris in the pipe. Generally, the pipe can be observed against the light. As for the elbow, a wooden ball or stainless steel ball equal to 86% of the inner diameter of the pipe can be used for the through ball test. If there is any debris, it should be removed by blowing it with compressed air.

(2) General cleaning should be carried out before installation, and dry with a clean cloth to remove oil stains and other dirt. If the design requires otherwise, other processing shall be performed as required. When there is mechanical damage on the surface of the pipe, it must be trimmed to make it smooth, and pickling and passivation treatment are required (when the scratch is below 0.2mm and there is no black spot, no treatment is allowed).

(3) Welding joints of well-aligned pipes and fittings should be easy to weld. Since the horizontal and overhead welding of precision stainless steel pipes is more difficult than that of carbon steel pipes, during the installation process of precision stainless steel pipes, it should be Try to expand the prefabrication amount to reduce the fixed welding joint, and strive to achieve the overall hoisting.

(4) Prefabricated pipelines should be numbered in sequence to prevent confusion during installation. Especially in the case of construction with a variety of different materials, more attention should be paid.

(5) The non-precision stainless steel pipe is not allowed to directly contact the carbon steel bracket, and a stainless steel sheet, plastic sheet, rubber sheet or other spacers should be placed between the bracket and the pipe. The carbon steel bracket is sometimes coated with a durable and strong paint as a barrier, but this method is not very secure.

(6) When using the looper flange connection, in order to prevent the carbon steel flange from directly contacting the Stainless Steel Flexible Metal Hose Pipe, rubber, plastic, rigid cardboard, etc. can be lined between the looper flange and the precision stainless steel pipe. It can also be coated with protective paint on the surface of carbon steel flanges.

(7) Under normal circumstances, it is not allowed to weld carbon steel products on precision stainless steel pipes. For some special reasons, when the design allows carbon steel products to be welded on precision stainless steel pipes, the welding seam can use precision stainless steel electrodes with high chromium and nickel content, such as Austrian 302 (Cr25Ni13) or Austrian 307 (Cr23Ni12Mo2), to Reduce the dilution of carbon steel to stainless steel alloy composition and supplement the burning loss of alloy composition during welding.

(8) According to the difference between the conveyed medium and the working temperature, the gaskets of the flanges should be non-metallic or metal gaskets according to the design requirements or specifications.
