Question: Stainless steel coil and stainless steel plate are both made of stainless steel, so is there any difference between them?
Answer: The biggest difference is that one is roll and the other is strip. There is also the difference between stainless steel and acid-resistant steel. The steel grades that are resistant to weak corrosive media such as air, steam, and water, or are rust-resistant, are called stainless steels; and those that are resistant to chemical corrosion media (acid, alkali, salt, etc.) are called acid-resistant steels. Due to the difference in chemical composition of the two, their corrosion resistance is different. Ordinary stainless steel is generally not resistant to chemical corrosion, while acid-resistant steel is generally stainless.
