Stainless steel processing properties:

1-Stainless steel has large shaping and high toughness when cutting, consumes a lot of energy during cutting, and has high cutting temperature. Stainless steel has low thermal conductivity and poor heat dissipation, which can easily lead to tool high temperatures; stainless steel has strong adhesion and weldability, and it is easy to form built-up edge during the cutting process; stainless steel has a strong tendency to work harden, and a hardened layer is easy to form on the cutting surface; stainless steel is not easy to break chips, and the cutting process It is easy to get clogged and affects the smoothness of the processed surface.

2-Stainless steel cutting tools: rake angle, the rake angle is not easy to be too large, generally 12--30°; front, grinding a crescent-shaped chip guide on the front can improve cutting conditions; rear angle, for carbide turning tools, the rear angle It should be 6--10°. For high-speed steel turning tools, the relief angle should be 8--12°; the main declination angle should be 60--75°; the secondary declination angle should be 8--20°; during rough turning, it should be Greater than zero, it should be less than zero during finishing turning; tool tip radius is generally 0.2--0.8mm.

3-Cooling lubrication in stainless steel cutting: Use lubricants with good cooling and lubrication properties, such as vulcanized oil, extreme pressure emulsified oil, spindle oil, oleic acid or vegetable oil, etc.
